Ferrier work

Connor Dove is a Ferrier in Laurel, Montana. He allowed me to spend the blistering hot afternoon with him photographing what is really a timeless but crucial job as a Ferrier. Shoeing horses is difficult, grimy, and dangerous work. People rely on him to care for their horses with the love and respect they would themselves. He has no problem with that, his love of horses comes from a lifetime of being around them.
